The Town Board of the Town of Trenton held a Work Session at 7:30 p.m. at the Trenton Municipal Center, Barneveld, NY. Present: Supervisor Mark Scheidelman; Councilmen Betsy Mack, Shirley Poland and Joseph Smith. Audits: The Town Board reviewed the books for Justice VanBuskirk’s Court. The Town Board reviewed the books for the Tax Collector. The Town Board reviewed the books for the Town Clerk. Scheidelman reported Pat Agen from Virkler Real Estate informed him some of the Virkler property sold to Greg Humphrey. Humphrey is planning to construct townhouses on the west side. Scheidelman reported the Town received a letter from Iroquois stating that the September 25, 2006 grant proposal for Pop Warner did not meet the criteria for this grant. Scheidelman reported the Trenton Falls Access Grant from Iroquois was accepted. The Town asked for $12,000 and received a grant for $10,000. The Town agreed to in-house services such as wood chips and man-hours for this grant. The Supervisor will sign a letter accepting the grant. Scheidelman will also speak to Dave Wilcox regarding the Pop Warner grant application denial. The Teamsters contacted Scheidelman. The contract will be up this year and
Scheidelman would like the Town Board to think about hiring a negotiator and if
so, who? There are concerns with the
wording in the contract and the issue of Scheidelman asked the Town Board members to come up with a
long-term wish list. Some items already
on the list include the Discussion was held on committee meetings being open to the public. The Town can pass a resolution making committee meetings open to the public. With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Katharine Squire Town Clerk
